  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon cold unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the apples into wedges.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine sugar, water, and salt; cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Boil undisturbed until deep amber in color.
  3. Carefully whisk in heavy cream and butter; stir until smooth.
  4. Dip each apple slice in warm caramel until fully coated. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. If desired, melt chocolate and drizzle over slices; sprinkle with nuts.
  6. Allow to cool before serving.
