  • 2 cups cabbage
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional)
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate diced chicken with soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the sauce by mixing remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), black pepper, salt, red pepper flakes (optional), and cornstarch slurry.
  3. Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; stir-fry marinated chicken until golden brown (4–5 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  4. Sauté onion and garlic for 2 minutes. Add cabbage, bell pepper, and carrot; stir-fry until tender-crisp (5–6 minutes).
  5. Return chicken to the skillet; pour in the sauce and cook for another 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with green onions.
