  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 12 oz broccoli florets
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • ½ cup low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ¾ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 23 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, vegetable broth, maple syrup, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken seasoned with salt and pepper; stir-fry until cooked through (about 5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions, garlic, and ginger for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli and stir-fry for another 5-6 minutes until bright green but still crisp.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet and pour the sauce over everything. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
