  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente; reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion until softened, add garlic and cook briefly.
  3. Brown the ground beef in the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks; drain excess grease.
  4. Stir in tomato paste and seasonings; cook for a few minutes to enhance flavors.
  5. Add beef broth and cream; simmer until slightly thickened.
  6. Mix in Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses until melted.
  7. Combine cooked rigatoni with the sauce, using reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
