- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1.5 tbsp shaoxing wine (or Dry Sherry Wine)
- 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
- 1.5 tsp cornstarch
- 3/4 tsp sugar
- 3/4 cup cold water
Instructions
- Wash and strain the broccoli florets thoroughly.
- In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, shaoxing wine, sesame oil, cornstarch, sugar, and cold water to create the sauce.
- Bring a wok or large pan halfway filled with water to boil. Blanch the strained broccoli for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender; then strain.
- Dry the wok or pan and heat it over medium heat. Pour in the prepared sauce and simmer for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
- Combine the garlicky sauce with the broccoli on a serving plate and enjoy immediately.
