Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center and add warm milk, sweetened condensed milk, softened butter, beaten egg, and warm water. Mix until combined.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Allow it to rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the dough to remove air bubbles and shape it into a loaf or rolls.
  5. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the top of the bread with an egg wash before baking for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool on wire racks before slicing.
