- 7 g instant yeast
- 20 g honey
- 400 g flour
- 1 egg
- 40 g butter (for dough)
- 25 g butter (for filling)
- 450 g steak
- spices: salt, cayenne powder, red bell pepper powder, onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley
- 80 g red onion
- 75 g red bell pepper
- grated cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm milk, instant yeast, and honey. Mix until dissolved.
- Add flour, beaten egg, butter, and salt. Knead for 10-12 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm area for about one hour or until doubled.
- Once risen, deflate the dough and divide it into sixteen equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball.
- Stack two flattened pieces on top of each other and roll them out slightly. Coat with semolina.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and allow to rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat and bake each roll until golden brown.
- For the filling, heat butter and olive oil in another skillet; cook steak with spices for 2-3 minutes before adding vegetables and cheese.
