Ingredients

  • 200 ml milk
  • 7 g instant yeast
  • 20 g honey
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 40 g butter (for dough)
  • 25 g butter (for filling)
  • 450 g steak
  • spices: salt, cayenne powder, red bell pepper powder, onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley
  • 80 g red onion
  • 75 g red bell pepper
  • grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm milk, instant yeast, and honey. Mix until dissolved.
  2. Add flour, beaten egg, butter, and salt. Knead for 10-12 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm area for about one hour or until doubled.
  4. Once risen, deflate the dough and divide it into sixteen equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball.
  5. Stack two flattened pieces on top of each other and roll them out slightly. Coat with semolina.
  6. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and allow to rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and bake each roll until golden brown.
  8. For the filling, heat butter and olive oil in another skillet; cook steak with spices for 2-3 minutes before adding vegetables and cheese.
