- 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
- 1 packet French onion soup mix
- 2 cups beef broth
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
- ½ cup French-fried onions
- Garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef; drain excess grease and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- In a mixing bowl, combine uncooked rice, French onion soup mix, and beef broth. Stir well.
- Add the cooked beef and sour cream to the rice mixture; stir until combined.
- Transfer to the baking dish; top with shredded cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Sprinkle with French-fried onions; bake for another 5 minutes until golden brown.
