Ingredients

  • 1½ cups half and half
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 pound russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 7 ounces Sincerely, Brigitte™ garlic basil cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. In a medium pot, heat half and half with garlic and bay leaf over medium heat. Add salt and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes. Remove bay leaf and garlic.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F and spray an 8×8-inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
  3. Layer bottom of the dish with cream mixture, followed by overlapping potato slices, basil, cheese, salt, and pepper. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  4. Bake for 35-40 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Top with remaining cheese and broil for 5 minutes until bubbly.
