Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pack (12 rolls) King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup half-and-half (or whole milk)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter (for cooking)
  • Powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and half-and-half until smooth. Add vanilla extract, cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt; mix well.
  2. Poke several holes in the bottom of each roll with a toothpick. Dip rolls in the custard mixture for about 30 seconds, turning to coat evenly.

  4. Serve warm topped with powdered sugar and your choice of fresh fruit or syrup.
