Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes; set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage slices and brown for about 5 minutes until crispy. Remove from skillet.
- Season shrimp with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside with the sausage.
- Add broccoli florets to the skillet with a splash of water; cover and steam for 3–4 minutes until tender.
- Return shrimp and sausage to the skillet with broccoli. Pour in honey garlic sauce; stir well and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Serve hot over rice or quinoa, garnished with parsley or cilantro.
