Ingredients
- 1 pound dry navy beans
- 5 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup butter
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 pounds diced chicken breast
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1.5 cups diced onion
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 cup diced green chilies
- Spices: cumin, oregano, white pepper, black pepper, red pepper flakes
- 1 can corn (15.25 oz)
Instructions
- Soak the navy beans overnight in water and drain before use.
- In a slow cooker, combine soaked beans and chicken broth.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté chicken with garlic, onion, celery, green chilies, and spices until cooked through.
- Transfer the sautéed mixture to the slow cooker and deglaze the skillet with a bit of chicken broth before adding it to the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
