  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ⅔ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 16 oz spaghetti (1 pound box)
  • 3 ½ cups water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add olive oil, cabbage, and carrots; sauté for about 5 minutes until tender.
  2. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, mustard, ginger, and garlic. Mix well.
  3. Add spaghetti (break in half if desired) along with water. Cook uncovered for 15–18 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. Once noodles are cooked through, remove from heat and toss in sesame seeds before serving.
