  • 11/4 lbs Italian sausage
  • 1 (24-oz) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 2 (8-oz) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 (24-oz) container cottage cheese
  • 1 (8-oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 lb mozzarella cheese slices
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and cook lasagna noodles until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, brown Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat, then stir in spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, beaten egg, and parsley until creamy.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, half of the cheese mixture, mozzarella slices. Repeat layers finishing with meat sauce topped by parmesan.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; uncover and bake another 30 minutes until bubbly. Let rest for at least 15 minutes before serving.
