- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Fleur de sel or coarse sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line an 11×17 baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Place pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and simmer until caramelized (3-5 minutes).
- Pour caramel over pretzels and bake for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, and return to warm oven for 1 minute.
- Smooth melted chocolate with an offset spatula; sprinkle with sea salt and press broken pretzel pieces into the chocolate.
- Chill in the fridge for at least an hour before breaking into pieces.
