  • 8 ounces mini pretzels
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Fleur de sel or coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line an 11×17 baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Place pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and simmer until caramelized (3-5 minutes).
  4. Pour caramel over pretzels and bake for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, and return to warm oven for 1 minute.
  6. Smooth melted chocolate with an offset spatula; sprinkle with sea salt and press broken pretzel pieces into the chocolate.
  7. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour before breaking into pieces.
