  • 2 packs udon noodles
  • 200 g fresh beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 white onion, sliced
  • Chinese cabbage (or any leafy green)
  • Soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce
  • Dark soy sauce
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • Sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, and cornstarch slurry. Coat the beef slices in this mixture and let them marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Cook the udon noodles: Boil the udon noodles for 1–2 minutes until slightly loosened. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the black pepper sauce: Mix leftover marinade with dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, pepper, water, and potato starch.
  4. Stir-fry: Heat a wok over medium-high heat with oil. Stir-fry garlic and onions until soft. Add marinated beef and cook until browned; then add the black pepper sauce until thickened.
  5. Combine: Add cooked udon noodles and chopped cabbage to the wok; stir well to coat everything evenly before serving hot.
